Maybe not specifics but i can hear a Roland filter, a CEM filter, a SSM filter, a SEM filter, and a arp filter.

It really does depend to be honest, a lot of UK Hard Trance Leads sound the same and you can more or less put money on it that the synth behind the tune is a VAZ.
With Trance it's more difficult, but I do agree that there are a lot of samey sounding leads created by seemingly the same synth's and in those instances you could safely say that’s a Virus C, JP, etc...
As diginerd points out though, it is far more obvious to both producers and listeners to recognise percussion loops and hits/sample packs.
I'm sure you've all heard tunes and though hey that’s the same bongo line as in... Or those hats sound exactly like...
It's actually irritating for me at times.

Yea... irritating is right. Because I occasionally can recognize the same percussion stuff in trance tracks.
But what's worse, is that now that im more estute to it, I recognize it in hip hop WAY MORE, like all the time. And it drives my girlfriend crazy, since half the time it's not even the same producer that uses the exact same thing in their track!
Anyway yea. It is all very depended on what the listener is exposed to.

Indeed, Vanguard is very recognisable; it has a very gritty high end and has a low-bit flaw to it, meaning that has a distinct constant ring-mod like tone to it that can't be removed.
Nord 2X has a very unique sound to it, very airy at the high end.
Nord 3 sounds very natural.
The Access Virus bass arpagio's are very recognisable. But the great flexibility given to later access products like 127 effects and other elements make it hard to make out.
I haven't got 20 years of experience, but just testing the synths out in the shop a couple of times gives you a feel for the machines. And with a bit of that knowledge behind you, you could make out a synth in most amateur tunes.
Most pro tunes have very complex FX constructions and layering of sequences that it's hard to make out. Put to some extent it is sometimes possible.
Music is as universal to people as breathing. We've probably been at it since before we even started talking. Immaging two cavemen smashing away at a peace of flint to make a spearhead. It wouldn't take long for them to learn te synchronise the sound. And there you have it, the words first percussive band.
Music has survived wars, famines, the plague and many other things and has evolved with man across many cultures. Dance music is just the next step in the evolutionary chain. My guess is that it will probably be with us untill we are extinced.
