guys chill...pray if u want to, do ur obligations if u want to..its all what u feel..

personally i dont care if someone goes to church every week....i do, but most of my friends dont and it doesnt really affect anything cos these guys inspite of not goin to church, are nice people and basically the ritual of goin to church/synagogue/mosque etc. is only to continue tradition and to recieve spiritual guidance from the priest and for ones own satisfaction that they have thanked God for his blessings.

I agree 90%

i didnt quote your entire essay btw , but you had some interesting ideas.

Has anyone noticed that all Christians have a different view on God etc..? Its quite interesting and confusing to hear something being said, then later being contradicted by someone else. However, quite the contrary to science. There is usually 1 answer. Generally new theories keep being discovered, therefore, new theories must fit the truth of what we know already.

Ok let's start with this one. God does no evil. The devil does all of the evil. If they dropped the ball, it's probably because they're HUMAN, not gods themselves. No one (except the trinity) is perfect. If a person misses a shot while playing basketball, do you really think they're gonna blame anyone except themselves? God CAN take total control of you whenever he feels it's necessary, but that doesn't mean he controls your every move. That's where the freedom of choice thing comes in again.

Ok do I really need to answer this? Let me think, hmmmm... how many times has science proved itself wrong? At one time everyone said that it was impossible for the Earth to be anything else but flat. It was just a basic knowledge of science to know that there's no way the Earth could be round, but of course science has once again proved itself wrong. So how can we be so sure that the scientists are right this time? Personally, I'd trust God before I'd trust humans.

Ok, honestly, do you think that a bunch of humans, many of whom never saw or heard about each other, could all write up stories of what they believe and then have it all fit together perfectly into the book that we now know as the Bible? Isn't that scientifically impossible too? The Bible, and all of the scripture in it, is the product of God speaking to man for thousands and thousands of years. Only a supernatural force could make the Bible what it is and still have it not proved wrong to this day, even though man has been trying to disprove it ever since the books in it were still being written.

i understand that but if thats the case, why do i still have to pray for my sins.... didn't christ already die for that?

It's not an automatic thing. You have to actually ask God for forgiveness for your sins. If you don't, then you're basically telling God that you don't care if you sin, so that would mean that Jesus's death was completely in vain.

Yes, but by choosing not to believe in him, you choose to go to Hell. Sure you can still be a Christian and not worship him, but I don't think he'd like it very much. God isn't biased torwards anyone believe it or not. He loves everyone just the same, and every person on this earth is given a chance to ask God for forgiveness of their sins. Those that NEVER get a chance (as in they've never even heard of God, such as a still-born baby) will go to Heaven.

God DID create the entire universe, but do you think that God made cigarettes or beer or any of the stuff in life that serves no purpose but to do harm and try to make you feel good? Those are man-made things. However man would have no way of making these things if it weren't for God first creating all of the core materials.
And God doesn't 'blind' you from anything. Again that's lucifer's work. If you get greedy and ruin your family over money, it's your fault, not God's. And of course I understand we humans aren't perfect, because I myself am faarrrr from it. So basically, God = do good; Devil = do bad. It's that simple.

Yeah and George Washington existed too, but can you see him? You can see pictures, writings, biographies, and several other things that 'prove' he existed. Is the Bible not also a lot of writing and a great big biography of who God is and what he has done? Can't we also go see the town of Bethlehem and the tomb where Jesus was buried before he rose again on the 3rd day? There's just as much proof that Jesus exists than as there is that George Washington did.

Please tell me where in the Bible that it says life is going to be fair to everyone. Those people dieing of starvation are most likely starving because of the country that they live in, a man-made country. An impure and flawed country. Their starving is most likely in no way related to religion.

Ok well I think that's about enough. I'll shut up now. Hehe thanks for taking the time to read all of this though.

GOD

GOD IS DEAD

hes been dead for a long time now......

Why waste your precious time you only have 60 years left to live

those sundays add up

besides every sunday is the same ol'thing for most churches

I mean seriously

do other animals have religions? i think not? what would be the point?

i mean yeah were higher up on the food chain, snarter than all other creatures and yet we believe in myths and legends

I dont get it really

you die, you cease to exist, that part where you sleep but dont dream
is the afterlife

now you can either go 2 roads

1 suicide which only speeds up the whole process

2 accept the reality that life is meaningless and make the most of your short life, dont spend your days in churches, they are only a erie reminder that life is short

take those sundays

and make the most of them

dont sacrifice your sundays for some extraterrestial being

I mean seriously lol

man IM FULL OF IT

and as a warning dont take me serious

PsycoEwok, i appreciate your serious debate

but one more question.... do all the jews, muslims, buddhists, etc.... are they all going to "hell" then in your eyes? 90% of every human that ever lived was non-christian... so wouldn't you say hell is "kinda full" right now?

Hehe yeah I actually kinda enjoy debating over this stuff. Hopefully I'm clearing up why I believe what I believe. If you don't share the same beliefs, that's perfectly fine with me. If my beliefs aren't true, then what can possibly happen to me when I die? If my beliefs are true however, then I can't wait to die, heh.

Well anyways, onto the question. It refers back to what I said before. Those who have never even heard of God are NOT going to hell. Why? Because God tries to give everyone a chance to ask Jesus for forgiveness of their sins. Are God's plans always carried out? Hell no. We humans, with our human nature, like to try to take matters into our own hands. Is God going to try to stop you or tell you you're going in the wrong direction? He most likely is. Though that doesn't mean that people will listen to God or even notice it's Him trying to tell the person that they're heading for trouble.
And yes, Hell is only increasing in population, but those people that are there all had their chance to ask God for forgiveness, but they blew it. Is God sad about this? I don't think words can describe his grief as he sees his children, his creation, burning in Hell and experiencing unimaginable agony. He doesn't want anyone to go to Hell, but God can not be blamed for ANY person being in Hell right now. They basically chose to be there because they blocked God out all their lives.
Oh and no they're not going to hell in my eyes, because there are so many people out there that I wish I could be. If it were all based on my opinion of whether someone should go to hell or not, then things would be a lot different. Everything I've said so far in any of my posts is either pulled directly from the Bible or is an inturpretation of it so that maybe everyone could understand it better.

............you say you would rather trust God then science....hhhmmmmmm.....so in other words you would rather beleive a spiritual being that you can not hear, see, touch, or converse with then facts....it wasnt scientists who said the world was flat by the way it was explorers hundreds of years ago...they didnt know any better because they did not have the resources to show them they where wrong.....

But seriously think about it...sit for one or two minutes and really think.....you do know that there are things called fossils right??..ok i knew you did....well then you do know that fossils are inprints of plants or bones of dinosaurs from bilions of years ago right??...ok i knew you knew that also....so NOW....you tell me how is it that we can trace dinosaurs and plants back BILLIONS of years ago but we CAN NOT trace man back even 2 million years ago??...if Adam & Eve was true then we would find fossils of human beings...but we never have....YET we have found fossils of tens of thousands of different plants and dinosaurs...your telling me we couldnt find just one human being that lived in the Adam & Eve era....you know why we cant...BECAUSE HUMANS DID NOT EXIST THEN....we evolved thru millions of years...beleive it or not but its true.....

As far as the Bible goes...some , if not most, of it is wives tales....like ghost stories....come on parting of the Red sea and Noahs Arc...you beleive that crap....

Look at the Bible they talk about Noah and is infamous Arc...the Bible says he had to get 2 of every species on the world into the Arc in a certain amount of time before the Earth was flooded...right....well answer me this....how did he get tigers from Africa then go to Australia to get kangaroos then go to Antartica to get Polar bears....that would have taken a life time to get every species...not to mention all the different bugs in the world....its an impossiblity...could not be done in a single life time...besides do you have any idea how big that Arc would have to have been....

you said that if you dont beleive in God that you will go to hell...thats not true at all....reread your Bible buddy....

i Agree Jesus did exist....i would NEVER doubt that....dont get me wrong i beleive in God and alot thats in the Bible...its just that a lot of the things in it are a little far fetched and i tend to go for scientific facts and realities before a scripture that was written hundreds of years ago....

yeah but that doesn't answer my question. Most jews HAVE heard of god.... they just have their own god... they don't believe in christ being the savior. (i think... i'm not jewish so i don't know the details...) and muslims... they believe in a god... just not YOUR god. Their god is Allah.

so... how does that work? is Allah the same as your god? just he caters to different groups? or is there more than one god in the universe? the gods "take turns"? or are all the billions of muslims in the world all wrong in your eyes?

BTW tiesto14 -dinosaurs weren't here billions of years ago... it was hundreds of thousands.. maybe millions. def. not billions. and they did find a human skeleton (1 female) in africa that is the oldest known - a couple of hundred thousand years old i think (or maybe 100,000....) .... LUCY (austrolopithicus) found her in Africa.

...where was the garden of eden supposedly located anyway??
