DJ Prices go up depending on the city they're playing at. LA has one, if not, the highest price hike in all of the country. As an example, one time I saw Tiesto in LA for $45, the week before he was in San Diego for only $20.
Normally, I would pay up to $50 to see a DJ, but that's cutting it too much. Actually, the time I saw Sasha & Digweed together at Delta Heavy in LA, I only paid $35.
$83 for Tiesto is WAY TOO MUCH!!!!
Oh yeah, another reason why DJ prices go way up is because they employ many people like Managers, PR Agencies, Producers, etc. All those people are the ones that indirectly give the DJ it's image. Someone has to pay them and it's usually the DJ. Perfect example is Sasha. He has a team of people dedicated to mastering all his tracks and preparing them for Ableton Live! That team of people then uploads the finished track to a server and Sasha downloads it from wherever he's at in the world.
