The creators are dutch, "carte blanche" is french

it means you can do whatever the hell you want

pronounced "Cart Blahnsh" kinda

with a french accent

isnt carte blanche prounounced cart blonk, i would spell it blank, but then you would think it is the word blank, when i say it blonk, so yes

Deruyter -> duh r-UH-Y-t-uh-r (stress on ruy)

and carte blache can't really be translated literally i think... to get "carte blanche" means that someone (eg. an employer) allows you to do whatever you please, no restrictions (it's pronounched "cart blaansh" w/ a french accent, not blonk, that'd be blanc, the male form of blanche )

there may be another explanation but that's about as far as my french stretches

when people pronounce Tijs Verwest....does it sound like this...

1. Tijs = Teace (like the word PEACE but with a T)??
2. Tijs = Tish (like the word Fish but with a T)??
3. Tijs = Tis (like the word Piss but with a T)??
4. Tijs = Tice (like the word Mice but with a T)??

1. Verwest = Fairwest ??
2. Verwest = Fervest ??
3. Verwest = Vervest ??

and Benno de Goeij ...is Goeij like this

1.Goeij = Gooey ??

any help would be cool thanks

Some dutch accents are hard to translate into english...like how we pronounce "ij" is a bit like "a" ...and the "g" is like how jewisch people say chchchch.

so "tijs" is neither of the 4 you mentioned. more like - t "a" s - but then patched together.Verwest is kinda like - Furwest -
