it's actually perfectly legal to hold a dance event there and as long as it ends by 3am it's not considered an afterhours party..
now who the promoter would be and how much cash they'd need to shell out is the question ..
not to mention would enuff ppl attend to make it worthwhile?
who would end the party at 3?
LAME
it may be legal but the powers tha be wouldnt allow it

Don't you mean the Rogers Centre lol
I think this has crossed the mind of every partier at one time.
I'd like to think positive and say it could happen but Ontario in infamous for conservative laws and over regulation.
If not there then maybe the ACC or atleast something on the Exhibition Grounds, like back in the day ftwk, the city is strapped for money after all. It could generate lots of revenue and tourism back to Toronto. Provincial laws in place require you to have so many paid off duty officers and paramedics when throwing a party on city property I don't know the exact ratio of them to people attending but it's enough to make throwing an event very expensive.
But, of course, the province makes those kind of laws when the municipalities should have that power. That's a whole other battle that still needs to be fully won.
I do remember a Destiny Party at the Hershey Centre, in Mississauga, 7 years ago. JOOF headlined it. It made a pretty cool venue indeed.

The closest thing that will ever come to having a EDM night at Rogers centre is having Armada night at lakefront with sponcership of Redbull Bacardi and Benson & Hedges
