how about a comparision of typical sentences, Jay? (I'm asking, because all I know are the obvious media cases...like being caned for vandalism, being sentence for spitting gum on the ground, etc). |
Sentences are stricter in singapore for sure. We need tougher sentences here for serious crimes and we need to loosen up on "social crimes" as in drug possession, smoking etc. (this is even coming from a non drug user and non smoker over here)
