I don't understand why so many people consider Ableton the root of all evil when it comes to Sasha these days? Do you really think his sets would be that much different musically if he was playing cdr's or vinyls?...

My marketing/advertising education kicked in. And plus I saw a post in the review forum suggesting the same thing.

I enjoy Sasha, I just dont know the music well enough to know when he is fiddling with the tracks in ableton or not doing anything at all. Ableton is great and it's the future but the only people that will be able to appreciate it is the die hard tune ID people because it is so seamless. When people are adding effects and doing tricks with vinyl/cd it is pretty obvious, not so much with Ableton.

I suppose it does come back to the "getting so many new tunes" thing because once the fans get to know a tune and realize it is being reworked or editted live the DJ throws the tune in the recycle bin. Im all for new music and a new experience but those "expected" songs are important, especially in Ableton to know what type of things the DJ is doing to the tunes.

Exactly what I meant to say. Couldn't because of my biased view towards Sasha in the first place. It is nice to hear new songs. I love experiencing a live set and catching a song here or there that blows me away and wondering what the hell it is! But what I love most is hearing that song that I already know and having one of my favorite dj's lay it down on a banging club system.

Ya this is fun. The only thing is, when I used to be into trance way more than Sash0r...I loved hearing G&D Remix of No One On Earth. After I heard 6 trance DJ's play it in one month...it started to get a little old. After I heard every trance DJ I saw within a 6 month period play it, it got VERY old.

When I saw Sasha in Vegas I recognized 4 tracks. The rest were all totally new, but totally HUGE. I only wish this set was recorded for you to listen to, because if you were to find it boring I dont know what I would say...it was fuckin bangin from start to finish. It was a four hour journey through a huge variety of sounds. Techy, Acidy, Electro, Big Prog, Dark, Dirty...you name it, it was everything.

Theres a bunch of songs I wish I could hear Sasha play again, but hes moved on. It sucks, but hes finding newer music that is just as amazing as the older stuff...
