Ah yes, the night time 'ghost tours' (if they still do those) are excellent at port authur historic village.

Plenty of places to pick and eat stupid amounts of Raspberries, if that's your thing and the time of year is right, I could spend all day sitting in a berry field just eating, plus to take them home is dirt cheap by supermarket standards.

The mountain (forgotten what its called) is mildly interesting, its got a fancy toilet and a good view.

Antartic Adventure actually closed a few years ago, the building is still sitting empty in the square. Someone should turn it into a club!

My sister has a raspberry farm but they only pick during January, they're all gone now, dammit

Mount Wellington has a pretty good view, and is only about 20 mins from the city. In winter it gets covered with snow so that's pretty cool (pun intended)

Hey! Only on brewing days, and only if you're within a couple of blocks of the brewery.

The decent track selection must come from my father's side - he's a pom.

I think the hedge maze is at Westbury on the way to Deloraine on the north-west coast. If you get to Westbury make sure that you stop at Andy's Bakery - open 24hrs a day 35 days of the year WOOT

Do a search for Brady's Lookout (about a 20min drive up the west tamar river), which gives you AMAZING views up the Tamar river in Launceston.

Other suggestions could be to go caving up Mole Creek way. The other year I visited a place up on the north-west coast actually called 'Paradise', no shit; even got the foto to prove it

If you are a bushwalker/camper like me then there are shitloads of walks to do. Depends on how long you'll be there for and what gear you have. Go to your local library and search for a book called '100 Walks in Tasmania'.

Definitely check out The Gorge in Launceston, say 'hell0' to the peacocks wandering around there and jump on the chairlifts. All great stuff. Wineglass Bay on the West Coast was also mentioned by someone else

Go and check out some Tassie Devils and other wildlife here:

The Lavender Farm at Nabowla is also worth a look and smell

Not sure how long you are going (prolly mentioned somewhere else here) but if you are going for about 2-3 wks the best way to see things and get around is on bicycle. A few years ago I rode from Devonport to Hobart. Plenty of happy memories!

Enjoy
Cheers
