idk man we know how to set up tonarms right to adjust it with ortofon's pro-s so i dont even know... its all good... we didn't buy all the turntables its the club that that myself and my other boy who djs there and they just wanted to know whats better so they can have better updates with there turntables... so idont even know... just wanted to know whats better the 1200's or the 1210's with your guys opinions

the difference is the voltage selector switch on the 1210 for european current

you can get the 1200 in both silver and black and i believe you can also get the 1210 in both

In the US, the difference between the 1200 and 1210 is the voltage switch. So, it doesn't matter unless you're taking your decks to Europe. 1200 is available in silver and black, 1210 is black only.

In Europe, the difference is color only. 1200 = silver. 1210 = black.

So, for the most part, your question is "what color is better"?

Your argument is that a turntable with a better tonearm and more precise pitch control is much worse than its predecessor, even though the motor is unchanged. Correct?

I would love to talk about something interesting. Too bad nothing that you've ever done, or even thought, could be remotely construed as interesting to me. I would love to talk about equipment, but it's quite apparent that you have no knowledge of the subject. I mean, you probably know what a turntable looks like, at least, but that's about it.

yeah the 1200's come in 120v and 240v, but the 1210 just has a switch on the back of them like a computer powersupply so you can use it in any country. I say go for the mk3's if you can find any, otherwise get the mk5's.

But like everybody says here.. it's the voltage... but it shouldn't really be a problem. You can always buy a step up or step down voltage converter.. prolly around $30?...
If u really want to know.. i have 2 SL-1200MK2s they're black, with the red LEDs and ol-fashion pop up lights. 120V, made by Matshushita (SP?) Electronics - JAPAN!!
They work great, i've gotten over the "click" problem. Works like how a Tech should work... granted i've never messed around with other tables to know better...
