the kid has enthusiasm, or he's on ecstacy. none the less, i think that there should be more djs like him (in a way) DJs who interact with the crown, feed off the energy, and become a part of ...

worth watching, put a smile on my face...

He is the only Trance DJ worth seeing.

He has undeniable talent, showmanship and even good tlists.

The guy is the shit, and he knows it too

Mikey Mike :
If putting on a show is not impressive, how is standing arond like an ass for 3 hours and beatmatching like armin or whoever else do is ?

Any local dj can beatmatch, its all about the extra thing you do to make yourself stand out

indeed. tiesto...armin..van dyk...they all just beatmatch 99 percent of the times. rarely...if ever... see effects thrown in. NEVER have I seen these three do anything even close to what eddie is doing in this video clip.

Eddie is, as you stated, making himself stand out. This is what the masses want. Someone who comes in, and tears it up nasty. Who cares what the elitists want.

its like scratching [what non edm djs do sometimes ] only i think its mostly effects built into that cdj. whats sweet is you can do that using just loops and then go right into your song, even if you just have 1 or two of those top-of-the-line cdjs.

At the end of his set he was speaking on the mic regarding some comments Tiesto had made about him in mixmag, and how Tiesto was shit. Then he proceeded to get back on the decks and play Tiesto's version of Barber's Adagio, and do loads of live effects over it. I'm sure anyone that saw him at some point in 2004 will know what i'm talking about, he did it loads.

what did tiesto say about eddie and vice versa??

eddie has been playing alot of tiestos tracks, strange that he would say such things!

but gotta love eddie for his technical skills!

if you wanna see eddie scratch go see him at a festival, as far as your average club night goes he doesnt tend to scratch that much anymore, well no way as near as he used to. i always found him hit and miss, sometimes he can play a blinder, but sometimes hes way off, rather like julius ceaser (aka the judge).:>

I love it when trance/progressive DJs scratch and add effects but that was a poor example of it being done well and a poor example of Eddie. Granted it can only be done so much until it gets annoying.

ah yes, the ole "cut the bass" trick.

aka the first actual mixing trick DJs learn how to do. Simple, but effective, and fun, but still very simple. You can learn how to do it in 40 seconds. If this seriously impresses you, you haven't actually seen any good DJs yet.
