I just don't understand why anyone would want to play mp3s. Why not just burn audio cd's?

Storage capacity. You can fit ALOT more mp3's as files on a single disc vs recording them as audio.

They save much space.
Regular audio CD's hold maybe 10-12 Club mix's on each one. Take an mp3 disc, you can hold about 120 Club Mix's. Imagine going to an event, and never having to eject CD's. Load 2 cd's up, with 120 tracks on both. Wallah! your show. Great for the Wedding/Mobile DJ's.
Or At a club. Run 4 decks, 2 vinyl, and 2 CD's. load up an mp3 disc for looping and sampling. You can use the 2 cd decks to put over top of songs to make some wicked remix's Live, while spining on 2 vinyl tables.
Just some of the things the digital tools can be used for

Bearing in mind that you woudn't be able to mix tunes that are on the same CD, so couldn't get away with too much of that!

2 decks, 2 cd's of over 120 songs on it. Set. Besides, go dj a wedding, see how much mixing you'll get in. Certainly wouldn't be a hot Rave or anything.

So do you mean having the same tracks on both CDs? Aaaah i see what you mean! I just thought that you'd be kinna screwed if you thought to yourself 'this tune would be perfect next...except its on the disk im already playing...'

Shit the CDJ800 is so sexy
So the ONLY differences between the 200 and 800/1000 is the MP3 support (not for long apparently), the jog dial, and the pitch resolution? Everything else is the same no?
