Cool idea, but Numark has a bad reputation for offering some stuff that may sound innovative and cool but being total crap in it's execution. They are a lot like Gemini in that respect, however I think Numark is a step up from them, but not quite up there with Technics, Pioneer, Denon and even Stanton sometimes for offering good, quality products that last.

Numark is like the Sega of turntables. Always have great ideas, but a little to soon for its time.

Atleast numark can justify having a way oversized cd player. Its stupid having a hybrid. Besids the fact that you only have one player if your turntable breaks down, you cd player breaks down.
They are trying to be creative but dont they understand thats what got them in a hole!?

Gemini Rep: Hey i will sell you details to building a great hybrid cd player/turntable if you give me those plans for making a ipod mixer.

Numark Rep: Fantastic. With both of our companies having these two products how can we lose...

Gemini Rep: Ow yea i almost forgot. Make sure you use the cheapest components you can find so that it wont last more then a year. Its tradition or somthing.

if they would be so kind to move the quality of their products along with the creativity. it seems to me that the cdj-1000, for instance, is like a ak-47 - simple and reliable, while the cdx, hdx, x2 etc. are like some super futuristic weapon with built-it tv, frige, popcorn machine ...
