I found the quality of reporting really dropped off in 2004-2005. I used to read it religiously in 2002-2003. Btw - its cheaper just to buy it month to month, rather than getting a subscription. Fools!

I found DJ Mag to be too pretentious. They really did look down at trance, and were just too serious for my liking.

Mixmag is fun, no doubt about it.

I've always felt that mixmag is more like the maxim mag for the clubbing scene. A lot of filler and over time you realize that its all flash and fancy with little substance.

The ones designed for the DJ I think are better magazines. Better articles and better reviews of tracks. But if your looking for a subscription solely based on the attached CD go with Mixmag.

Yo Chinamon, i was about to post the same question until i "Searched" for ur thread. And i did actually go down to my local chapters but they had none of the magazines everyone listed here, such as mixmag, dj mag, etc. They only had mags for people who are hardcore into producing and shit. I'll check again one time to see if they got nbew ones.

I keep referring to the copy i received in Miami with Gabriel & D. Also a wicked article on JUNKIE XL. Really useful and informative place to go
