Yeah right. This is why we have endless re-releases and updates and pointless trend-whoring mixes by producers who just stamp their own trademarks on perfectly good tracks to cash in. There's nothing wrong with the track as it is- and you should only ever remix something if you can genuinely take it in a new and deserving direction. What is suggested here is "it sounds a bit trancey, so let's just exploit that sound".

Mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I agree and disagree.
I really, really, really like good remixes of songs. Just honest good production and re-hashing.
I really, really, really dislike--and this pretains more to trance songs-- old trance/dance classics that get "JOEPRODUCER 2005 REMIX."

I like remixes that turn a track into something totally new, but at the same time retain something of the original. A remix which is just the original track but in a producer's style is a waste of time. I get loads of singles where the remixes are just bollocks- no effort, no imagination. A simple "hey, that'd be easy to convert" mindset. Yawn.

No. Trance producers should come up with their own tracks, rather than remixing everything else.
You are clearly on the wrong forum, fool.

what the hell is wrong with making mixes to change genres...
EX.
I like this house song alot but the people at the party only wanna breakdance... Do i play the house version anyway because its "Good as it is" Or should their be another version that this crowd of people might enjoy more.
Or if your a dj and you like a song but find parts of it need reworking in your opinion to get the full effect. That then deems it worthy of a remix.
Now this is the kind of shit i hate right here.
Alice Deejay - Better Off Alone (2006 rework)
No it doesnt really exist thank god but some producers wont let a song go.

Yea, why waste such a good oppotunity.
Anyway any more comments on this tune being remixed specifically ?
