"Sail" to me is like a good version of Serenity. It sounds very similar to Serenity, like the track Serenity could have been, but wasn't. But it's still not as great as it could be...
I see the direction he was going in with it..trance meets classical, but I don't think he quite has it right, the elements. They just don't fit together. Sure trance and classical have been and will be two genres that seem to mold very well together, but I don't see this as doing it in a great way, not quite like some of BT's old productions that I think were better in that respect.

+1, and the strings in sail are weird... kinda detuned FTL...
Armin could produce more stuff like his oldest Gaia or Rising Star aliases, but releasing something under "Falling" Star fits better...
sounds like the tracks on Tiestos old school albums.

I didn't rate it at all when I first heard it, but hearing it in Godskitchen changed my mind completely, it blew the roof off.

it was? i used to be/am an big armin fan but seriously, the production level on the original blue fear was not big. very simple track, it was never actually meant to be the big track. it was originaly written as a b-side to x marks the spot. cyber records decided that blue fear was going to be the bigger track. don't get me wrong, i love the track but an amazing production it is not.

After listening to the sample I already know I will never be in love with this track. It's average. If someone else had produced this track nobody would have payed attention to it I think. Armin can produce better than this.
Wow, what a beautiful song! I can't wait to listen to it high. I am not paying that kind of money though.
