Burning 2 copies of every CD avoids this problem.

Edit: Plus, you need to go through the mixer to mix the two tracks... The Denon dn-s5000 has two outputs and an "alpha-play" feature that lets one get away with only one CD player. If you choose Pioneers you will need 2 CD players.
