well i have an aunt+uncle plus another aunt plus another uncle that live there so that might help.....as for schools, im looking for a tech school that has courses in new media, web design, computer graphics, or audio production.....if you know of any that would help..
Sweet deal if you could get free accomodation from your relatives.
SAIT is one of the best tech schools in Aberta. SAIT does offer 2-year diploma in Multimedia. You can check www.sait.ab.ca for more updated info. It's under Information Technologies and Communication department. It even has employment statistics up for you to give you the prospectus of the industry. This program is brand spanking new for only 3 years+.
www.ACAD.ab.ca is an Arts College with a 4-year degree in Media Arts and Digital Technologies.

Yeah, housing is booming so the prices are going through the roof, especially downtown core. I'm talking tens of thousands if you want to mortgage a place to live..

True, ACAD's program has the backing of experience while SAIT's multimedia is still in its infancy. Its admission requirements are much higher, and the available seats are very limited (32 students per year). I don't know how ACAD does theirs. All I know is SAIT's program cuts like 2 years out of ACAD's and only gives the student the essentials.

48 students get in each year, have to take first "foundation" year and then your grades and portfolios decide who gets to get into the program

Yep, pretty strict requirements! FOR MMT, the 'foundation' has to be available at interview time to decide if the potential candidate will be admitted. I remember the first inception year only allowed 16 out of 120+ applicants.
