Pioneer has many products that are skimmed, high quality and special in the industry, guess that's what makes them industry standard. My cdjs 800s never screwed up once, they're solid, but on the other hand i've used denons and numark cd players, and always notice how their faders or knobs tend to bleed, or how their platters' are always broken or have little or too much torque,
The price difference is clear and huge, but it pays off in the long run.
Because I use cdjs 800s i can understand why the 1000s are by far more expensive, the ability to save and load cues to memory saves you all the time, as oppose to cueing a beat everytime you use a cd. I think time issues like that could really make all the difference.
If you swear by pioneer and Allen&Heath then you'd be well safe in the sense of quality, efficiency and strong rigid boxes
