the licesne that the club/bar has allows you to play anything out- even stuff that is restricted to domestic use only normally.

I think it's common sense that digital files are like cd's or vinyl in that you can play them out anywhere you want but can't copy them. Just put yourself in the shoes of the vendors, they need to have a business but there is no reason why they would prohibit playing in public places or any place.

You're not supposed to play vinyl in public either unless the venue pays its lisencing fees.
