In defense of faith, and I know its rather cliche to say, but you cannot base a faith upon its followers. I am not muslim, but have read some of their holy scriptures, and I do not think that the events happened today are what the originators of the faith had in mind.

If anything, I think the abuse of power is to blame here. Lets be honest, I know I will get shit on for this, but the Muslims have a right to be pissed off. Take Iraq as example, the French only wanted to support them as money was tied up in oil, the US wanted to liberate them only b/c they wanted that oil.
