Anywas, back to topic. I see alot of people blaming Andy Moor for "the downfall" of Tilt, but I don't think it's all his fault. I mean there are two more members that have some input on whats produced. In that case it's as much their fault as Moor's. I don't think they would put their name on something they didn't like, I know that I sure as hell never would.

A friend and I were discussing this topic awile back. It was more about his spinning style though, he doesn't procuce.

I told him that his style changed ever since he got his residency at this lame mainstream trying to go "rave" club. The place is utter shit, and the people who go know nothing about EDM and just want to get shitfaced.

He used to spin this nice funky/nu-skool style of breaks which I was very fond of. You could tell he really had talent and loved what he was doing.

Recently getting his residency, he's moved to cheesy breaks, mostly mainstream tracks or EDM classics sampled into some shit remix. Now don't get me wrong, it's understandble seeing as how he wants to get paid, he needs to please the crowd. The crowd does go off, they worship him. But I told him that he's losing his original fanbase, the people who liked him for being so original.

Anyways, he gave me a mix a few nights ago and I was totally blown away like how I was when I first started listening to him. He still has his style, he said he's just "saving it for when the time permits."

What I don't get is that he doesn't play everynight like that for every crowd who goes to see him. Why waste the talent you have trying to please everyone instead of sticking to your true fans and pleasing them, the ones who care about you the most.

I believe one dedicated fan is worth more than ten random listeners .

You can't really blame your friend for changing up his style to please the masses. Cmon, many clubbers and ravers don't even know or care about what tracks are being played.....as long as it's good enough to dance to!

You have to look at it from his perspective. If he's playing his original style and causes the dancefloor to empty out, what will that do to his residency at the club? You think promoters care about being original and unique? Heck no. They want a packed house nite in and nite out.

You said that he gave you a mix that blew you away. As long as he doesn't lose sight of what made him fall in love with music, you can't really call him out for losing his taste in music, no?
