I've got lots of time to be jaded. Right now I just need to get into a city around there. I suppose Victoria would be an option too, though I'm not much for tea.

(I know I'm flinging heavy-handed stereotypes of these places; don't mind me)

And remember, I'm comparing with the Deep South, that good ole' flag-wavin', God-fearin', ACLU-hatin' American part of America! (Thank god I'm not actually from here.)

There's lots of room for improvement.

I actually plan--or at least hope--to move further down the coast, possibly Portland or San Francisco, someday, but not until Bush leaves office.

After Vancouver and Seattle, people I know cluster to San Francisco (and, while I'm revealing my life story, I was born there). I like visiting the city, but I couldn't live in the Bay Area. It's too gritty and indignant for me. Like Seattle, it carries a granola self-consciousness that sits poorly with my preference. I also have a weakness for glossy covers, and Vancouver appeals to me because of that.

I've not been to Portland. I hear it's a pretty sleeply place so far as nightlife is concerned, but a pleasant city besides that.

That's because all the marijuana around here seems to do away with the cynicism anyways.

"Dude, this town sux."
"Yeah, it... um, what were we talking about again."
"Um... I can't remember. Want to get some 99cent pizza?"

Funny you should mention that. I tried to smoke some weed first thing in the morning 1 day ago as a way to get through the day, and look what it did to me http://tranceaddict.com/forums/show...threadid=331199

Haha! Yeah, I'd have to agree with the 'panic attack' reasoning for that there. I've had that happen to me before, but with GHB.
