this probably belongs on that thread 'your scene' but that one seems to have gone way past your point about the perth scene (which other ppl prolly aren't interested in).
do you know where you can hear good progressive stuff in perth? i have occasionally been pleasantly surprised at the ambar, but rise and church really are the homes of commercial/poxy crap with occasionally moments of inspiration. plus i really don't like the meat market atmosphere at said venues...
i spent the whole day at GCSSS in the trance tent and it was superb, but you can never hear it on an ordinary night out. so i tend to wait for the events. the ppl and the music are invariably a damn sight better.
