I have heard some good reviews with the Sony MDR-V900, hopefully they fixed the problem of it breaking near the swivel.

Don't know much about headphones but the ones Satoshi had a couple of weeks ago looked sweet.

They sat inside of his ear like a hearing aid.

Then he had this tiny flashlight he pointed with his mouth.

Yeah! He uses those ear buds....he puts a finger to one ear while mixing, looks really weird...but cool!

And the MDR-900 are way too big for DJing imo...those are suppose to be for the studio.

ok here i give you a helpful advice.

DO NOT buy pioneer hdj 1000 again. it is a bad investment and trust me when i say so.

before anything, i hope you have purchased this headphone from an authorized dealer and the item is still under warranty. if so, then call pioneer and they send you a brand new one.

other then that, heres why pioneer shouldnt be your first choice. its not as comfortable and some other headphones and there are actually better sounding headphones cheaper than the pioneer. also the damn thing is very fragile. i had it for 3 months and the thing started cracking during use and broke right above the ear cup and right by the left ball joint (on the bottom of the ball joint and on top of the ear cup). after it broke, i look why the damn thing broke and found out that they didnt even use a 1/8 inch of plastic.

my suggestion to u is if you only need the headphones for djing then technics rpdh 1200 are great. i disliked the sound of the sony for some reason. to me the highs sound weird on sony. technics are WAY more comfortable than the pioneers (pioneer really annoy you if you use it several hours plus everytime you move them you hear plastic noises).

do this, goto djdeals.com check the technics rpdh 1200, print out the sale page and give it to guitar center so they price match it. its only 120$ and trust me its way better than pioneer.

dont take my words for it, go test it at guitar center before buying it.

I have the Technics and I LOVE THEM!!!! Trust me, I went through so many headphones and by far these are the most resistant. I drop them all the time, I'm pretty rough on them, and nothing! They kick ass!

I had the Sony 700's and THEY SUCK!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!

I had the Sony 7506 and they KICK ASS!!! Actually, I still have them, they're just warn out. I have had these for over 7 years.
