Game Master remixed again?

I always love the original for its almost peotic descriptions of the earth before we all f*cked it up.

Every remix i hear neglects to use them in favour of one verse. Aside from those vocals, I feel it's a weak tune.

Classics being remixed either works or really is totally pointless with everyone playing it just cause its there, which annoys me.

But you only heard For An Angel in 1999 because PVD remixed it in '98.

And Gamemaster is a rip of a Quench track as well, so you can't complain about that.

But I generally agree. New remixes tend to be inferior and lazy, cashing in on a track's reputation. There are always great exceptions, and I actually loved those new mixes of You Got the Love.

most pathetic is when some producers use the rehashing as a central part of their musical career. for example Matt Darey. He keeps on re-releasing his old productions. And everytime with loads of remixes of which only just one or two are worth listening to.
For instance Point Zero, the only one worth getting was The Digital Blonde remix. And Matt didn't even include it on the vinyl release. Such a shame.

I dont see nothing wrong with remixing classics, the problem is: most these remixes have very low quality...

m.i.k.e. - strange world 2006 remake for example is horrible...

i dont care about a diff. producer trying put ur productions skills (his own sound) in other producer music, but when the same author of the original ruins the own tune...that's when it goes bad...

the only way to fight these kinda remixes is people need to stop buying them.

Re: Should 90's classics be remixed??

I think it depends on how it's remixed and who by. There aren't really many truly sacred dance tracks that no-one should ever touch imo. So much depends on how the remix is pulled off.

If you can make a good original quality production out of it then yes!!

but I agree that there is too many bad remixes of great classics at the moment!
