Alright! This is much more my style.

How about the new version of my track? Needs pitch change in the vocals in a couple of parts, and the "acid" needs a few more drops, otherwise this is the final mix.

It's just a clip, so it ends abruptly, but trust me, the climax and ending are pretty rad. I just want to see what you guys think of the feel of the song over the previous version.

new mix

That sucks. Any reason?

I would like to make the ULTIMATE version (heheh) but I really do prefer the new version.

Still would like to know why though.

1. I really like the vocals.

2. The portamento saw lead in the old version sounds more original than that really cheap cheesy wannabe supersaw sound

3. I prefer the old bassline more.

Wasn't sposed to be a supersaw If I wanted to use a supersaw, I would have...

The rerecorded vocals didn't suit the last song, which is why I abandoned it. Unfortunately, they were full of noise etc, so it was a tossup between just ignoring it and continuing with the old vocals, or using the new set, which were much better quality and being able to use them the way I did in the new version.

If that's it, maybe I'll rework the lead so it sounds less like a supersaw (?), but otherwise that's fine.

What makes it cheap or cheezy though?

Assuming I leave the rest of the track, what kind of lead would you use, TV?

I hate to say it, but I'm starting to favor the old version.

I would like some other opinions though, and a couple comments on the mastering of the old one. It doesn't sound right to me, but I end up messing it totally up everytime I sit down.

I've just heard them both so many times I'm completely numb to the song.

The old version has potential, IMO.

Imho the old version is better. Especially the portamento lead, however I like the atmospherics in the new version too.

i know what the problem is, it`s said before over here, the vocals are
not in sync with the song.
if that would be fixed i`m sure it will be a much better song.
(still have to listen what`s not the option :P)

but this is an option.

spend some more time on the starting points of the vocals

personally i think the clap could do with a little extra work - it's sounding very generic ... maybe thicken it up a bit.

*EDIT: just realised i was listening to the original*
