For programs that support 64 bit processing they are farking fast its quite noticable! 32 bit stuff runs very very fast as well due to the clock speed of the cpu itself. I haven't had a real chance to use intense audio or graphic's programs yet but basically they will see the real benefits of 64bit processing....

Been thinking about making the hardware move up myself, but totally switchin to 64bit OS is another story . From what I have googled so far AMD64 bit is rocksolid but some MoBos can give problems

some examples so far ...

from RME

list of users running PoCos on dif systems with nps

X2 and poco ... obviously ignore this one cuase its PoCo related but still a good example of some other problems

I have downloaded this patch from thehotfix.net, though I hardly see any improvement regarding speed or stability though?

God I hate XP

Slighty offtopic, but someone mentioned waiting for Vista. I read it has been pushed back to early 2007 instead of late 2006. Think they found some bugs and need an extra couple of months . Seriously tho, think it has been set back a month or two.

Hmm... Guess I'll still have to bear using WinXP Then.

I'll give WinXP 64bit a shot later on, if I'm convinced I'll let you guys know.
