for someone with enough skill mixing a track in like that can be done easily enough without having to have your tracks specially edited.. especially with house. I would doubt most claims of djs getting their tracks edited like that (though not Oakey because nothing would surprise me there). The better you are the more effortless you can make it look.. but also when you're mixing tracks that are within a range of say 3bpm then it's also that much easier.
One time I saw Pete Wardman play and could swear he didn't touch the pitch control while in the mix.. he'd just lean back and stare a concentrated look at the turntable and the beats would align spot on.
Now chances are Pete Wardman could have jedi mental pitch control... but there was probably a better explanation.

Move the thread to the DJ forum, not this one. This is just for music discussion, not stuff about DJing or DJ equipment or techniques..just an FYI.

Are there mixers that can synch up your cdj 1000's so you don't have to beatmatch?
Or is he just so phenomenal in 3 seconds he has the song matched perfectly (his mixing was so tight, I have seen him 3 times and he has never come close to dropping a beat)?

Eric morillo burns all his tracks at the same bpm so all he has to do is mix it in and they will never drift.
He is also sponsored by pioneer to use their gear so bedroom djs see him and pay
2000 $ to buy the decks.

This is why I don't like cdj but anyways you still have to do some type of cueing up of the track with the pitch anolog on cdjs. Tracks will still drift off even if it's at a fixed bpm.

Digitally, Mike is right. If they are at EXACTLY the same bpm they will never drift.(Maybe after thousands of years or something) However, It there are two tunes pressed on vinyl at the same bpm they WILL drift because of the inevtiable innacuracies of turntables.

And honestly, as long as it isnt a pre-recorded set, who gives a fuck if he changes the bpm. thats him taking the time or paying someone to take the time to make your experience better. No fuckups behind the decks.

Shit, more djs do this than you think.

I'd do it, but im too lazy.
