BT is a genius, has a IQ of like 175, Chopin was a genious, Arvo Part aswell. Aphex twin deffinately, though a majority may not enjoy his music there is no denying its intricacy and complexity, in 1 bar of one of aphex twins tracks has more complexity than your entire avg prog/trance track

BT may be an intellectual genius, but, personally, I wouldn't consider him a musical genius.

yeah i dont know about BT.... early Tiesto stuff is genius.... "flight 643"???? how do u come up with some of those wierd percussion noises, how do u come up with that synth or even the arrangement of those synths to make such an energetic track?.... YOJI BIOMEHANIKA's "theme from banginglobe" was genius, that melody is just priceless.... i dont think theres any need to to feel restricted to use the word genius, because even if theyre not ongoing geniuses, as long as they were innovators at one point or another (and not followers), then theyre a genius... Holden is an innovator

I guess its very subjective, I have never heard anything by tiesto that i really liked.

If you listen to Timo Mass presents Mad Doggs - Better Make Room (James Holden Remix)
or even Janeiro (Holden Remix) you can understand he is a very unique producer , using a minimal amount of sounds but creating a crazy atmosphere. I think he defintely is a genius in his own right, i mean hes very talented to create his own sound the way he does.
