Of Course. I'm not saying that he shouldn't . I'm trying to show how someone might be offended.

Yeah well, somebody could get offended by me whistling as I walk down the street. I mean, if you're offended then we can argue the point but as you're not then....what's the point? Sorry if that sounds rude

how can you think he's talking about God himself when he's talking about crown and stuff??? that is so NOT what the Christian God stands for!

Well, the lyrics say "Do you believe in *a* god that wears a crown?" and so on. So the lyrics basically ask in what kind of god you believe in...and, God and god are 2 different things...

heh.. it's catchy i'll give it that.. but i am kinda sorta religious and could see it.. but doesn't really bother me, as it's just a song y'know..
however i think that the most offensive line would be "or do you beleive in me?" i don't remember what the term for that is.. anybody know what the word for that is? trying to bring worship to yourself or something like that.. it's cool for people to have thier own beleifs but eh.. trying to put yourself over ANY god is a big no no in ANY relgion..

the lyrics were the only thing about the song i liked.
However they are not specific enough or clear enough to warrant being considered offensive. For example, the song has a sample of a girl who says "or do you believe in me" in a weird voice - to some this means: me = Marco V, to others me is something else like the girl or whatever the girl might stand for (which could be many things such as maybe music, or anything).
Furthermore many gods do NOT make you bow,
i don't see what is wrong with a god that satisfies
i don't see what is wrong with having your eyes opened
if you are religious you probably don't feel that god lies to you
or brings you down without a good reason (although a reason which is incomprehensible to humans)
I mean there is no real meaning or substance to these lyrics and you can take them many different ways, therefore it is a mistake to feel offended by them.

a mistake?? I am going to stick up for those offended, and who are you to say that someone's offense is a "mistake"??
screw you!! you self centered person who is now the "knower of all things" it is a subject that we are talking about asking if people are offended by them, and obviously someone could be, but you have no right to say that their offence is a mistake!! and that they are wrong for being offended!

personally, i think these lyrics are true and truth is sometimes offensive. i just had this whole argument in my english class about how Heckleberry Finn might be offensive. but the book tells the truth, and truth is offensive.
