Well that depends. On most single core cpu's it's very easy to reach your cpu limits. Especially if you don't convert your synth tracks to audio track/freeze. For example, it doesn't take a lot of Z3ta+'s running some big patches to really load down the CPU fast and then you still have all the effects and EQ's on each track and stuff. Personally, i don't like freezing tracks and converting midi tracks to audio tracks, it doesn't allow me enough flexibilty as im arranging and it's a huge pain in the A$$ thatz why a lot of cpu power is such a benefit. Everything is real time all the synths, effects etc. no offline processing needed. It's worth the extra money for a powerful CPU imo.
