I've been using Z3TA quite a bit lately, I find it very usefull. I mainly use it for lush and trippy pads. I don't understand why some other VSTs have such bland, odd, and cheesey pads. Z3TA gives me plenty of decent pads I can actually use. It's not too hard to tweak a soundset either. Z3TA's sounds are very inspiring, single-handedly inspiring new compositions. That's the mark of a good VST I think. I almost think I might be able to create my own sounds with Z3TA, it's ease of use will at least give me a fighting chance at it.
For bass, I usually go to V-station.
