Another thread that belongs in the polls forum if I'm not mistaken!!

Anyway, that aside, Ferry Corsten gets my vote. Even though he has done some really shit-stinking remixes, the bulk of his work is fantastic. And that's not to take anything away from Matt Darey, who I think is an excellent producer who has made some wicked tunes. I suppose it boils down to the fact that I prefer Ferry Corsten to Matt Darey.

lateRZ,

barryfigiel

Matt Darey is good, but nobody beats Ferry Corsten. His number of great productions and remixes is just unbelieveable.

I think Matt Darey is much more original. Ferry's stuff is classic trance. Which isn't bad I haven't seen Matt live so I can't really decide, but based one their work I think I'll go with Matt Darey.
Btw such topic should be banned....how can put somenone to decide something like this ?

Its gotta be Ferry as Matt's been out of action for a couple of years... I actully heard of Darey before the good old Corsten came along. Hes an awesome remixer and producer..

Well, from my point of view, Matt Darey churns out tracks and remixes that are timeless....you can drop any of his productions and the crowd will bounce to them....Live crowd that is....Matt tends to experiment with different genres, like melodic trance, breakbeat to ambient and lately, house.

However, Ferry's work is enticing, enabling the audiences to connect to his tunes immediately...Kinda a downfall I guess, as I remembered hearing "Out of the Blue" for the first time and kept playing it till I was sick of it. Ferry's work is kinda stagnant with the same breakdown and "Boom" sounds...so that's kinda passe. Ferry's Out of the Blue album is certainly a keepers, with a blend of 80's sounding tunes as well as ambient works.

Don't mind me..I am a Ambient Buff

Both have contributed talented pieces to the trance scene. It's not fair to just compare in terms of production. They utilize different samplers and sounds....

To each his own....
