Just run a constant 40hz or anything around there tone into your headphones.. leave them there for a dozen hours or so on half volume (that doesn't really make sense does it as everyone's volume differs lol)

But i doubt it has too much of an affect on headphones, usually you'd do it with car audio gear.. letting the sub loosen it's suspension etc, but i doubt headphones need as long a 'breaking in' period as the larger speakers.
