The 500s will definitely start distorting if you use them at a club/party too much because they are not loud enough. The Sennheiser HD25s should feel pretty similar because they are just as light if not lighter in weight and the cups for the ears aren't overly big. The Technics have smaller cups for ears too.

And yes, it was hard to talk about your cans and using cup sizes without snickering.

Hey just wondering if these are still for sale? PM'd....

My little doggie (such a darling!) chewed my SONY headphones cord in half, and apparently no one in Vancouver fixes that sort of thing. ??

Nothing a soldering iron and electrical tape can't fix, as long as you still have both halves!

My brother's dog threw up last week from chewing/eating all kinds of crap outside.

Well I thought it would be easy too. If anyone in Van wants to try and help me I'll pay you if you can fix them. $40 seem fair? But this was the problem: inside the plastic of the curly headphone cord (which is the only thing he chewed in half - not the actual headphone ear parts), there are 3 different coloured fibre-like (almost rope or fabric-like) strands braided together in some special way. It's not like electrical metallic wires or anything to do with electrical. I don't think soldering would work because they arent metal at all. Hmmm I'm gonna Google it....
