ok a copy of my party report that has been already posted on NYTA
Where to begin? I want to say it was one of the most intense and wonderful experiences in my life, not only music wise but it also involves relationships, friendship, joy of life and much more.
Day 1, Wed, March 22. My trip started weird. I was running late to my 6.00 am flight and when I finally arrived to JFK everybody from my flight got bounced around from one plane to another, from one gate to another for almost 6 hours. So in the end, instead of arriving to Miami at 9.00 am and enjoying the sunny Florida weather I barely reached my hotel at 16.30. My girlfriend Laura was arriving an hour later but this time was enough for me to have a walk along Ocean drive and bring my feet to a miserable condition (BTW, want to thank a shoe manufacture. So my trip began terrible but despite that I was ready to have a great time. What can go wrong when WMC 2006 starts with Armada Night @ Space.
Taking into consideration my previous bad experience with Space, Laura and I arrived to the Club at 21.30. Got our will call tix and went inside. Matthew Dekay was already playing and people were gathering very quickly. After about a half hour dance floor was full. It was great to see so many familiar faces and know that some of these people came only for this ONE particular night. Pity that night sucked!
Matthew Dekay was the brightest spot of the night (not talking about Remi who spun in the very end but I wasn't there anymore). MDK never manages to disappoint. He is young, talented, very creative and throws fresh tunes all the time. His part of the night brought me a great satisfaction. 3 hours of MDK was enough to make a night. Thanks a lot, Matthew! The rest was a disaster.
I don't know why but that night Marcus Schultz imagined he was Armin (but "a-la year 2002"). I don't know what Armin did imagine to himself but his set was very unremarkable and plain. I like Armin a lot and never heard him playing like this. I left at 4.30, in the middle of his set and later found out I haven't missed much. Ups and downs happen to everybody. Maybe it wasn't their night, maybe I wasn't in a mood but there will always be a great admiration for Armin for every great set that I have heard from him earlier.

Day 2, Thursday, March 23. Laura and I woke up in different hotels. I have no idea where the hell she spent a night at (in/with) but I woke up in the arms of a Man. Call him Mr. X. So, despite a failure of Armada night, my day started great.
Laura and I went to meet H&H at Cafeteria, and apparently it was a busy place as on my way I met Darude, guys from Cosmic Gates, Ian, Jason Jollins and James Zabiella. Everybody within 2 hours! Miami is a place to be!!!!
We didn't have any big plans for Thursday so we decided to do it locally and went to Crobar for Serge Devant, Junkie Xl and Ferry Corsten. What a great night! Music was good, atmosphere was relaxed. Armada guys were hanging out in a VIP area on the first floor, some 'other VIP" guests were partying on a second floor ( It was nice to meet you Del). Serge threw a very nice set, Junkie was better then ever and looked more like a DJ than a showman. Mr. X was there too and made my night even better. We left in the very end because it was worth to stay and hear Ferry playing. Despite a fact that I have seen Ferry multiple times during his monthly residency at Crobar NYC he always brings sparkles to his set. Either it's a new tune or an old one, they all sound great when it comes to Ferry.

Day 3, Friday, March 24. Weather sucked (as for the rest of my presence in Miami) but I was looking forward to Wetgrooves party at Nikki Beach. BT, Above and Beyond, Darude, Andy Moor, Cosmic Gates and mohitos, a lot of pitchers of mohito.

Day 4, Saturday, March 25. Day started with an attempt to hit a beach but it was just too cold. I stopped by Mr. X hotel and got introduced to Keith Flint ( OH GOD, if only I knew he was from The Prodigy!!!!) Well, it was something to discover later.
I arrived to Ultra with friends who never managed to get in. I met H there and we were browsing around from tent to tent until I decided to settle by a main stage, expecting to see Paul Oakenfold, The Prodigy and Paul van Dyk. Organizaton of Ultra expected to be better. Sound went down in the middle of Oakey set and I would feel bad for him but he seemed to have a good time and without sound by dancing with a crowd and entertaining it. Light went down in the middle of The Prodigy set but everybody was so excited to see them that no one paid attention. They were great (even though it's not really what I enjoy listening to hahah). PvD started bright and because I haven't seen him in a while, I was amazed that he did learn some dance moves and was trying to look cool behind the decks. I left at 23.30 because….. There is no Ultra without Tiesto!!!! I was going back to the hotel to put my party dress on and hit the most exciting event of that day - Tiesto at Mansion ( invitations only).

I want to thank Tiesto crew for a guest list and Karl R. for a VIP table right in front of a Dj booth. It was an amazing night. Hearing Tijs playing again, seeing my gf having fun, watching people happy faces….What can be better?! Better could be only Sunday night… In Search of Sunrise 5 release party!

Day 5, Sunday, March 26. I was waiting for this day for more than a month. In late afternoon Laura and I stopped by Cafeteria to grab some food and check Gabriel and Dresden Album release party that took place in a back room of the restaurant. It was a pleasure to meet Dave Dresden's mom. She rocked!
But the main attraction was coming. 7 hours of Tiesto. He started at 22.00 surprising everybody with a curtain that covered the stage. But at midnight the curtain went down and the show has begun!!!! I haven't looked at my watch even once during that night! We had a table, we had a couch to sit but I didn't use it. I was surrounded by friends, I was smiling, dancing and I was having the time of my life. The more I heard "the sound of Tiesto" the more I crave it! It was a mind blowing night. Thanks Tijs for a great joy!
It was nice to see him staying longer to sign the Cds, t-shirts, tickets, empty bottles of water, lingerie, shoes.. haha I bet he enjoyed that too!
Party was over but my body sought more fun and I went to Nocturnal terrace for an after party. And guess who were there? Everybody who didn't get enough of Tiesto. I am still trying to imagine myself that Monday morning. I was with Mr.X, dancing on the couch, listening to Svan Vath music, sipping from two glasses with alcoholic beverages simultaneously. Sun came out and it was warm, Mr. X was right behind to catch me if I fall (I wasn't drunk but very very dizzy), I saw him smiling every time I turned my face to him and I think it was a moment when I realized how much he meant to me. We left at around 11.00 am, had a breakfast at Primetime café on Ocean Drive and went to the hotel. Later Mr. X. told me that he found me laying half on the floor, half on the bed. I didn't even wait until he finishes taking a shower (It is so not like me!!!). I was sleeping and I was happy.

Day 6, Monday, March 27. 3 hours of a power nap and shortly after 5 pm I was heading to "We love New Orleans" party. Later my friends and I had a dinner at Vietnamese restaurant. I didn't plan anything for Monday night and because I was exhausted right after dinner I went to the hotel to get some sleep.
Day 7, Tuesday, March 28. Mr. X and I had lunch at Times Café and then sat by the pool talking and talking. It was a time for him to go back to Europe and I had to let him go. It was so difficult.
Well, as for me, I still had another night to enjoy before going back to cold NYC.
Me and Laura did some shopping on Lincoln Road and then I had a dinner with Karl R. Right after 22.30 we arrived to B.E.D. for Matthew Dekay, Remi and Marcus Schultz. I still can't understand how my first and last nights got scewed up but this night sucked too. Matthew was great but he played for an hour or so? I didn't hear Remi's set because it was too short. I don't know what happened to people who were doing a schedule but next time they have to do a better job. Marcus might be a nice guy (and I don't want to take it from him) but his set wasn't my cup of tea. I literally fell asleep. But….. I let Marcus play his music and won't criticize him. I saw people having fun. Good for them!
Day 8, Wednesday, March 29. Last day, last hours on a beach, last purchases. I was tired, Laura was tired but we were satisfied. I got my dosage of fun and music and I was happy with that. I called my banker friend and asked him to arrange me a limo in NYC so I wouldn't bother myself looking for a car. I was going back to civilization and I was carrying the best memories of that week with me.
