we've not all moved out of trance totally, however the credibility of it is low. There's several things keeping things quiet, foremost many of the older members use diff sites now (not ukta.tk tho, thats a totally diff thing with not as many of the old ukta lot)
Sadly, this place in general has gone downhill, we're not all centered around one city like TO is, which makes gatherings more of an annual type thing to put together. A lot of us have grown up too, before everyone was at school or uni, most of the ppl now work which means they don't have the time to come on, and a few have just plain moved on. Not nec to house music, but out of edm altogether. Much of this is due to the awful mainstream perception, not many new people come in knowing what trance is or was in any manner, and it makes things hard. |
Agree with the not being centred around one city, that would make the forum a lot more activer.
I totally agree with those who say the Trance scene in the UK is dead, I've long gone off trance listen to the occasional liveset download the occasional tune but I can't be bothered with it anymore I've been listening to a lot more house and electro music these days, because my tastes have matured, yes there is some decent trance out but it's not how it was years ago the fun has gone out it and variety has turned into cloned formulatic shite. I have personally moved on.
Also the festivals here, would go to an event and watch Sasha & Diggers, Zabiela, Desyn and co but I'll be fucked if I have to go to some massive event full of a load of little fucking pikeys it lacks class.
