yea i didnt know the purpose as well til i adjusted the tempo and pressed the button. i think its a great feature if you are mixing harmonically. i use rapid evolution so i have every song in the database with its key note info. if it wasnt for the master tempo the adjustments in harmonies would be too much.

and from my experience, approx +5/-5 without the MT feature on changes the songs note. so its great to have the master tempo on when youre in the +5/-5 range so keys sound identical.

do this and youll realize what it does.

play a song on +5 tempo and have the MT feature off and listen to the results. then turn on the MT feature and voila.

even the 100s have it. i rarely use mine as it makes the bass sound bad pretty soon IMO.
