and wtf are you doing playing gigs when you cant mix?

take it seriously and work harder at it, or be casual and have a laugh but either way quit the cry baby attitude. crying is what girls do when theyre trying to get you to do something or they dont get their way

You have done six gigs already, thats more then you should have done! You gotta keep trying, aslong as you have the dedication you can make it work (do i sound like some wierd couples therapist?).
Seriously though keep at it. Aslong as when you stuff up instead of just stopping the song or going "ooo noeeeesss i trainwrecked" work on your ability to save a bad mix.

imho. a good dj is someone who can convert a trainwreck / some nasty fuckup into some funky weird shit.

If I can find someone to host my set, you can have a listen to my "save" of a trainwreck then..

i think your main problem is that you've started doing gigs way too early, WAY too early. you shouldn't be gigging until you're really good and confident at mixing. and don't fucking quit, take a break. that's what i do when i get mad and pissed off at mixing sometimes.

I feel the same way sometimes. Well more so lately because i'm not spinning trance and i'm competent at mixing trance, but now i'm getting into prog and breakbeat and i'm finding it a bit more difficult. I'm also starting to record finally. Sometimes my mixing goes well for a few tracks and then I totally blow it, I know that happened to me the other night. But I know that with practice, anyone will get better, it's just like a sport or art or any type of skill. I don't think DJing is nearly as difficult as producing, then again I haven't really produced, but I think it requires a lot more knowledge, while DJing requires more practice (and knowledge as well).

I've had my set-up for, 6-7months too,and to be honest.
I'm still learning the basics tbh, I get frustrated easy and it means I'm learning slow when it comes to djing, but I know it takes time.

Keep at it mate, don't want to regret selling up and quitting in the future, when you know its something you want to be good at.
