Though for giving up 2 runs in the first Moyer kept his cool really well tonight... but it sucks that Moyer and Ichiro are the only ones left from that record setting 2001 season.

Oh and wtf is up with the spelling of the new catchers name?

agreed...only azn catcher in MLB though, or first in history or both...u watch game today? twas gay, but that homer in bottom of 9th was pretty sick

Why on earth... is MOYER starting another opening DAY?????

What is the fascination... or HARD ON the M's have for this guy...

if I'm not mistaken, the guy has started every opening day since Safeco opened... at least that's what I remember, because it was years ago and it was against the sox...

and Moyer is like 57.... the immortal left hander.... christ almighty....

so my point is...

GET A FUCKING ACE ALREADY... I"m sick of seeing Jamie Moyer start on Opening day.... do me a favor... all I ask!

and don't tell me Felix would have started, but didn't because of his injury... we all know the M's have this sacred image of Moyer... that's why the SUCK and will never win anything ever again...

true. i don't see any "#1 ace talent" in jamie moyer . he must have an inside connection or something.

and speaking of old guys, when is greg maddux going to retire ? when i remember this guy pitching for the cubs when i was in elementary school, you need to retire .

Glad to see baseball back again.. Opening week always signals the beginning of spring for me. Looking forward to the new era of baseball. I was sick and tired of 13-12 games!

Go Nationals.

I was at the exhibition game in DC last Friday against the Orioles and i went into the "official" team store and looked for a Soriano jersey but they didn't have any.

I figured they might've been sold out, so i went to the counter and asked and they said they didn't have any!

I want to get a Nationals Soriano jersey before he gets traded.
