didn't any of you watch the Newlyweds episode where Jessica Simpson and her stupid PA/best friend got it done? Or don't you watch quality tv
They were awake but they didn't cry so it couldn't have been so bad... afterwards they had to wear big sunnies cause light hurts your eyes for a while.

You are under several different anaesthetics when they perform the procedure, and most places no longer use that hand tool to slice your eye open, it's done with a laser system called IntraLase... I'm heading to a clinic this Friday arvo after work to verify some details etc, then booking in to have the surgery performed ASAP. Will let you guys know how it all pans out

My ex-boyfriend had the laser surgery done. I drove him to the centre, it took about 10 minutes to fill in the paperwork and literally 5 minutes for the procedure itself. He came out wearing those big dark sunnies and was told to not open his eyes for the day (i led him to the car etc.). He said that he "felt" the laser during the procedure, however, there was no pain. As for the recovery, i belive he complained of occassional ichiness or dryness but nothing too bad.

a mate had laser surgery on his eyes, and he said you have to stay awake and try to keep your eyes still. feels like tapping or pulsing on your eyeball, and you can smell it as it burns through... the vision in one of my eyes is pretty bad, other one is alright. i'd still probably get it done though!

So Insonne, does your ex-bf have proper vision now?
Has anyone heard any problems that might've occurred after getting laser treatment done? Or is it pretty much a safe thing to do?
