The red/white ends you see in the pic go into my mixer just fine. Look closely at the ends of the cables...when I try to put the audio end of the cable in my soundcard, it doesnt fit properly. The connector actually goes into the hole on the soundcard, but it has some wiggle room and isnt allowing any sound to be send to the card. WTF. Is there any kind of adapter that I can find so I dont have to scrap this 20 dollar cable? It cant be taken back to the store.

is it possible to post a picture showing both ends of the cable, and a pic of your sound card?

if you cable is rca on both ends, i'm guessing you are probably plugging the cable into the spdif input of your sound card. that's the only reason i could think of for a soundcard to have an rca type jack... (i don't know what card you're using, so i maybe wrong)

anywho, if this is the case... you will not get any sound because spdif is a type of digital in, it won't pick up an analog signal...

but i don't think it explains the bad fit...

I have that exact same Monster cable. Same sound as my cheapy cable.

I don't like the Monster cuz it's heavier with stiffer wire and connectors so it could stress & damage the connectors in my equipment.

I dont think i have monster cable but whatever it is it is equally tough. When i went to rewire my setup it ripped a few connectors off the back of my mixer . I just shoved them back in and they where fine though.
