From memory (I had the actual keyboard).
M1 sounds come in 3 flavors. Combis (Which are multi-timbral/ Splits or layers) and Single and dual programs
Single programs have a single oscillaor, and can be tuned up or down. Duals consist of effectively two single osccilator sounds mixed together. Get your piano sound, check if it's a dual. I can't remember if the one I poined you at is or isn't. I haven't had an M1 or about 10 years!
If it isn't make it a dual and copy the parameters accross.
There is no detune control as such, but there is "Fine Tune" nudge one up a cent or two and the other down. Mix and match evelopes and you'll sart to get there.
Again all his is based of the real M1. The legacy plugin should do all this as it's an "Accurate" emulation.
