The beat is great. All those hats, bongos and stuff works so well together. Feels totally "real" and professional.
The kick is nice, but maybe its a slight bit too loud, at least on my speakers.
Awesome job with the vocals. Maybe they start a little too suddenly, dont know if its possible to introduce them more subtlely.
The chorus is BIG, really. I didnt think you would use this chord progression, it doesnt sound predictable as I first thought it would

I dont think I can give you any real ciriticism. The overall sound feels full and very smooth, also thanks for sharing 320.
Great work as always!
thx, vocal chorus ?

The song is mixed well except...well I gotta be honest with you, that kick is getting on my nerves. I like the rest of the elements, well produced and driving, but....I just can't listen anymore, the kick has kicked my a..
Effero
hehe.. yeah the kick is pretty heavy and the bassline is pretty thin, i noticed alot of tracks are this way so i thought i`d try it too... i guess the kick doesnt sound as neat on all systems.. abit of overdoing the compression or something ..

You´ve done a good job remixing the track. I like especially the breakbeat part ( which begins at 7:00 ) I´m not too fond of the pizzicatos, imo they sound too simple... Overall a really good remix, the beat is superb.

Cheers, Lakeus
yeah, alot of awesome tracks that came out of that Ray Of Light album.. thx for listening..

yeah great track.. with a clean acapella i wouldnt mind trying a remix of that one either

Brilliant tune. Onto the ipod.

Also, I dont know if anyone picked up on this but the vocals sound kind of shaky.
i noticed that actually, due to timestretch maybe ?

really liking this track mate. although i agree with mavve on the more pan to the left. sort feels like the track drags to the left. other than that great listen.

nice work!

This is really good....a few suggestions though.

-The vocals would be better if added a little less abruptly.
-I would rather the vocals didn't stick out from the mix so much in the first vocal section. It's a bit better for the rest of the track where more stuff is going on, but in the beginning I feel like the vocals are definitely too loud.
-Personally I would have a little bit less vocals total. Honestly I think they take away a little bit from the beauty of the track.
-I would shorten the track a bit...cut out 2 minutes or so from the last section. The end gets a little repetitive.

Other than those things, this track if freakin' epic. You can definitely tell that you were enjoying yourself during the piano part, and that makes the track even better. Good stuff...

As a side note, the kick sounds fine to me. Definitely on the fat/loud side but I tend to like that.

Hi,
I want to start from bad things....

Your bass is weak maybe bigger compression will help for that.
Also I think that vocal start a bit forthright...I think you can do fade in with some effect,or maybe at the beginning you could put one or two phrazes...thats only my opinion

Good things

Timbres ar nice,I like 80's snare...thats cool.
I like Atmosphere
I like long bass drones.

Memorable,deep,cathcy,trippy...

9/10

I'll agree with what has been said...

but I would definitely change kick/bass...one of these is too loud, that makes the other too silent you know what I mean?

Also I think that for track like this is your kick a bit too prominent...some darker kick would do better here...IMHO

otherwise it's cool and catchy

peace,

B.

Hey Subtle,

Very nice groove directly from the start on, even though the kick is horrific. I love all the other percs in the beginning stages of the track, very funky.

The vocals are introduced too loud in the track. Reverbwise they do not sound nice either.

Melodywise I love what you do around the vocals. I still do not like the vocals in the mix a lot. The vocals in combination with the kick make the track sound as if you recorded the track in a small can.

The break is nice, that lead you introduce is soundwise nice as well but you keep it really small and dry. That seems to be a trademark of yours. In other tracks you also have very dry sounds. I think you could focus on making some main melodic elements sound wider, more atmospheric instead of canned and small if you understand what I mean. For someone who only uses that superb hardware you should be able to do that. Even some simple vst's sound wider and fuller

Overall a good track where the inspiration is clearly audible but some of the elements just lack the richness to really label this as very professional stuff. Also masteringwise there is still room for improvement.

Cheers mate!

dj_kane: hehe.. it definitely drags to the left a bit..

Mr Rogers: vocals re a bit dry yeah, didnt want to take a chance of ruining them totally

IntegraR0064: i agree about the vocals.. its definitely too long, i always make em too long..

linkmage: yeah i agree about the bass.. its a one osc from the Trilogy with a bit of low end EQ.. i choose too make a weak bass glad u liked it

Booster: thanks, kick is heavy yeah

Normen Nescio: thanks for great feedback.. i should definitely work on making more flow in the sounds, making them wetter indeed.. thanks

Takkra: thank u.. vocals are a bitch..

percussion is excellent but kick is too heavy, there is also some noise in the background. Bass/kick/ and that snare clap doesnt sound good to me, sounds forced together. Percussion is becoming a bit messy now, too many elements. I dont like the use of the vocal at all, sounds hollow and empty and just been placed on top of the tune without any creativity, looking to stuttering, reversing, FX or what so ever. Break, sounds empty, i miss some nice full warm pads and FX. Some sounds sound a bit simplistic to be honest, like the piano kinda thing during the intro, and most of the synths in general (fruityloops?) I like the melodies .
