Wicked place to live.
People are friendly, great weather, good looking birds.

Politics, despite what people say are just like anywhere else and won't change much whoever is in power (same shit different bucket).
Economy is pretty good, should be jobs in pretty much whatever field you are in.
Recently had new Industrial Relation laws come into force, and the place isn't falling apart like people were saying it would.

Dude, I can tell you, that you being American is alot more difficult to working over here legally. You've got to apply for a work visa on the internet, and wait months for hear back from the them. Then, you will only get 4 months to live and work here. SO if you plan on staying a while, I'd look to find a beautiful Aussie woman (which aren't hard to find , you ladies are killin me over here ) and get her to marry you so you can stay permanently, LOL

And the music over here is 10x better down here too. Although, the US does have some kick ass stuff, you'll find how culutral the music is down here!

Get ahold of TA cando22, she's an amercian TA I met over here, I'm sure she could help you out with anything you'd need to know

yeah this is the kind of info I'm looking for. 4 months thats it??? man... and for the record I would LOVE to fall for an aussie woman. Most of the aussies I've been privelaged to meet have been women, so needless to say, alot of my motivation for moving out here stems from that hehehe. After the 4 months is there a way to renew? and also this cando22 person, can you PM her aim/msn screen name?
