You have no idea how important all this is to me, most importantly, how educational as well...
Allied Nations has every right to say what he feels, yes.
But I have to admit, when I read Rainborn’s replies, yeah, I was relieved that someone took the time out to read all I wrote and then stick up for me. So, I guess I am a little weak. Me? Here just to self promote? I don't know how that got misconstrued but then typing out my feelings had always sucked for me. That's why I'd rather sing my words instead...LOL!...
Out of fairness to all, let me attempt to get into detail ...
I noticed that some of you have been here since Dec 2001! Allied Nations joined Mar 2004. I just got here! My point is, we are constantly looking for a place we can identify with, belong to and then we are quick to defend it! I understand that, I respect that, I never forget that, but I’ve also moved on. Now I'm ready to collaborate and change the world! Anything is possible and Trance keeps me feeling like that!
When Brian referred me here, (tranceaddict.com group leader at myspace and an admin here) I was frustrated. I wasn't tripping over enough Trance artists (producers) who were ready to move Trance up the line. I've been listening to a lot of the "new school" Trance happening in Europe right now. OMG! It's close to what I'm trying to do, as a vocalist/writer with Trance! (and yes Allied Nations my luv, I said "OMG"! LOL!)
When I joined tranceaddict.com on Wednesday, my intentions were to find professional, constructive criticism by professional artists that are already transforming Trance today and to find new solid collaborations. After taking some time out reading this board and researching the producers who are members here, I know now that tranceaddict.com is the right place to be!
Out of fairness and respect to you all, I will also admit that I have just started to be able to make a living out of this… As a “Trance and Dance performer/singer/recording artist”. Shoot, I better be! After all, I worked hard going to school… getting a friggin’ degree in basically.... “entertainment”… I’m still trying to pay off the damn school loan… and unfortunately, in order to be able to afford continuing doing this, I have to perform! So marketing is necessary. Yeah. But c’mon, if my posts come across as only self-promotional purposes here, then… whatever. I'm an artist who's trying to find her place in what she relates to. Trance. Weather I'm female or male is irrelevant. Weather I'm Latin or Asian is irrelevant. Weather I'm American or from Iraq is irrelevant. I just hope my “words” speak for themselves. "...we are constantly looking for a place we can identify with, belong to and then ... defend it!..."
C'mon guys, lets have some fun here!
Let's discuss and make new music!
