250,000 thousand paths

yeah i was looking through there... he does a lot of recreations of neon signs and shadows.

i noticed the date on some of them was 1990, and my first thought was "omg doing that on a 1990 computer with a 1990 version of Photoshop would suuuuuuuuck!"

I don't like Wicker Park (Damen Blue Line Stop). Bunch of altera-type people live there. Guys wearing tight jeans, retro Ts and chains. I prefer Lincoln Park.

"As a photo-realist painter, I have often been asked why I don’t just take a photograph. Good question, when you consider my paintings look like photographs. Well, for one thing, I’m not a photographer. To me, it is not the destination that is important—it is the journey. The incredible challenge of recreating reality is my motivation." — Bert Monroy

i guess i should have read lol

good point and i respect that but it honestly just doesnt do it for me. a carbon copy of reality defeats the purpose of art as i have always known it. much of what i respected in art was being able to see the personality and life of an artist through his or her work. ever seen i-robot? but thats just my opinion. either way the man has some skills

This person is talented. But they probobly suck at painting IRL.
