lol don't make fun of people like me! and yes, i have been told many times that computers are allergic to me.
i was going crazy though, expecting the very worst of course....so i was looking inside my computer, trying to figure out why there was no sound. i never expected it to be something so simple! lol...

to make sure what the problem is for sure
plug in ur computer speakers into another device. if speakers work, then its not speakers.
plug headphones into the soundcard. same thing applies. if they work then somethings messed up between the speakers and the soundcard.
those are really the only two options

Actually, bet we can get those other speakers working without having to buy a new sound card...
Try this:
START -> CONTROL PANEL -> SOUNDS & AUDIO
Make sure you are in the VOLUME tab, at the bottom of the tab is an ADVANCED button. Click it.
Then you will be prompted with a SPEAKER SETUP drop down menu. I am guessing you currently have DESKTOP STEREO SPEAKERS selected. Click the little arrow and select 5.1 SURROUND SOUND SPEAKERS. Click on Apply. Then click on OK. Then you can close the CONTROL PANEL.
Let me know if that fixed the problem...
