Seriously? I have the same pair of cans and they sound spectacular coming out of mine. Weird.

Mine have very beautiful sound, but get uncomfortable around the ears after a couple hours of use. It's not very ergonomic if you ask me, but the benefit of that rich sound is what counts. You're making a great buy with the those AKG's so let's hope you like them.

Just to let you know the frequency range isn't that important. I don't know the exat figures but i know the human ear can't hear all the way down to 5 khz. I think it drops off around 22hz maybe even a bit higher? Someone else will know for sure.

Their Sensitivity rating is often much more important (well it is with car audio gear etc)..

Anyway just thought i'd let you know that you shouldn't look out for that

I don't know you (obviously) but i'm just wondering whether you've listened to a good few cans? Reason i ask is cause you're always content with what you have until you witness something better

Eg, i thought my HD600's were lovely (this is back in the day when i started messing around with mixing etc)

Anyway the 600's are amazing, but for dj'ing they sucked! (i just didn't know) Tried a set of HD212 pro's and the difference was amazing! And now i'm using my HD25's..

Thank you to those of you who recommended the 7506's... Easily the nicest pair of cans I've ever had the pleasure of playing on, they are insanle comfortable, and the sound is superb!

I couldn't be happier! $104.99, but that included a 2 year warranty that covers them if they break at all... figured it was worth it with my track record

The above isn't set in stone or anything, but i'm pretty comfident i got some of it (most of it right)..

I used to always look at those figures when i was choosing my car audio gear and was told about it then..

Good example is to get some hz mp3's. Play different ones and you'll notice even on good speakers that you begin to hear... Nothing really when you go below a certain point (way above 5hz..)

But anyway,

They sound horrible on Xone:92s. The impedance is too low for the mixer. This is a known problem, and the reason why everyone (including me) replaces their 700s when they buy a 92.

anyone know any place that sells the 7506s cheap in EU? the cheapest i've found is 139€ + 20€ shipping from thomann. it can be from outside EU too, but then the 22% VAT + i think it was 10% of customs charge or something like that, i'll have to pay would have to be taken into account.

US model only.....so you will get ripped off by anyone selling within the EU as they have imported them.

best deal is some guy on ebay in miami called scitscat, who sells them for $99 plus shipping.

sorry for disappearing, my liver need some toxins, spent the day drinking on the patio

anywho, good thing you went with the 7506

once they burn in, they're going to warm right up and become so good

yea, i'm surprised you didn't upgrade your phones when you got your xone

it's a common and what i thought was a well-known problem, the 700's are shit

they will sound like the shit they are when hooked up to quality gear

quality gear needs quality gear to run with it, you're only as good as your weakest link

you're going to find your mixing become a little tighter too because you're not playing on sloppy headphones anymore
