yes! yesss! maan i love that game more than life itself. i used to play that game like an addiction. my friends would be over and i'd just play q2 rail games. i'm still pretty good, but i don't have a good mouse anymore, or a vid card. it's probably for the best though.. i'd probably never leave my computer room if i could play that game freely.
but sometime when i'm at my friend's house i'll play anyone, any time. we should schedule something. hook it up!

hell yeah, i also got mods that made even more pieces come out.. i was into quake 1 as well
side story:
I got a gig as an original beta tester and have the first beta release of a quake game EVER!!! it was originally gonna be just an arena game like Q3A, but they didnt want to stray from the trend of plotlines. the game is wicked cool, flawless at the time and WAY ahead of everything else, full of sweet dev. levels and half-made weapons... what was the best is that it was network-playable and me n my neighbor hacked (read: play a lot) it like it was a career! Then they came out with the real game about 6 months later and it was not quite as good, in the first beta limbs would bleed little pools of blood and shit... this great feature was taken out of the final release aling with a few other strong points, but otherwise it was a great start of something that would grow to be huge.

back to original thought:
i found this mod that you could use the axe and just keep chopping pieces off and i would sit there and hack away at a dead guys body and thered be this pile.. wow i was a sick little kid!
it's probably for the best though.. i'd probably never leave my computer room if i could play that game freely.
